Erase history

You have the right to seek help without anyone else’s knowledge. Below are the steps to follow to erase your Internet browsing history:

On Chrome

  • Click on the menu in the top right corner of the screen  (three vertical dots)
  • Select “More tools”
  • Select “Clear browsing data…”
  • Tick the “Browsing history” box and select the desired time range
  • Click on “Clear data”

On Safari

  • Open the “History” menu
  • Select “Clear history”
  • Select the desired time range
  • Click on “Clear history”

On Firefox

  • Click on the “Library” button
  • Click on “History” and select “Clear recent history…”
  • Tick the “Browsing  download history” and “Form & search history” options, and select the desired time range to clear
  • Click on “OK”

On Microsoft Edge

  • Click on the menu in the top right corner of the screen (three horizontal dots)
  • Select “Settings”
  • In the left-hand margin, select “Privacy, search and services”
  • Under “Clear browsing data,” click on “Choose what to clear” and select the desired time range
  • Click on “Clear now”

On Internet Explorer

  • Click on the menu in the upper right corner of the screen
  • Select “Internet options”
  • Under the “General” tab, in the “Browsing history” section, click on “Delete”
  • Tick the “History” option
  • Click on “Delete”

On Android mobile devices

  • In the browser, click on the menu in the upper right corner of the screen
  • Click on “Settings” and select “Privacy and security”
  • Select “Clear browsing data”
  • Tick the “Browsing history” option and select the desired time range
  • Click on “Clear data”

On Apple mobile devices

  • In “Settings,” go to “Safari”
  • Select “Clear history and website data”
  • Click on “Clear history and data”

If you visit a website in “Private” or “Incognito” mode, there will be no record of your browsing history.

To access Private mode on a computer:

  • In most browsers, open the menu in the upper right corner of the screen and open a new Private, Incognito or InPrivate window.
  • In Safari, go into File and open a new private window.

To access Private mode on a mobile device, cell phone or tablet:

  • On Android devices, open the menu in the upper right corner of the screen and select a new private tab.
  • On Apple, open a new window, select “Private” and “Done.”
